A smart thermostat automatically adjusts to energy-saving temperatures (78ºF in summer and 68ºF in winter) to help you save money on your heating and cooling bills. Many are also controlled from your smartphone so you can adjust the temperature while on the go or away on vacation.

To be included in the approved contractor list, the contractor must provide proper license information and insurance coverage to Cobb EMC. Cobb EMC has all rights to remove contractors from the list in the event our members are dissatisfied with their work and provide formal, legitimate complaints to Cobb EMC. Cobb EMC does not endorse any of these contractors, nor have preference among them.
Non-programmable thermostat: A thermostat that lets you adjust the temperature in your home. It's a control panel for your heating and air conditioning system.
Programmable thermostat: A thermostat that lets you set the temperature to change based on the time of day.
Smart thermostat: A thermostat that learns from your behavior, allows you to control the climate in your home remotely, shows your energy consumption in real-time, and can even adjust itself based on ambient conditions, like humidity.
There are two types of smart thermostats. The type that learns automatically from your behavior and adjusts the temperature accordingly, and the type that offers internet connectivity for remote management and programming.
