Line Worker Scholarship

Earn a $25,000 scholarship toward educational expenses.

The Cobb EMC Line Worker scholarship gives those interested in pursuing a career in line work the opportunity to receive a scholarship to cover educational expenses at an approved line worker school. The scholarship recipient’s primary residence must be within Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Fulton or Paulding county.

  • The scholarship recipient's primary residence must be within Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Fulton or Paulding county.
  • Be accepted or enrolled in an approved Line Worker School*:
    • Elite Lineman Training Institute – Elite 
    • Southeastern Lineman Training Center – SLTC 

*If a student is not yet accepted, this information will be required when the scholarship is awarded.

  • Write an autobiographical sketch with references to future plans and goals.
  • Complete the two-page Line Worker Scholarship application.
