We are thrilled to announce that Cobb EMC's rodeo team brought home several awards from the 40th Annual International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas on October 19. This prestigious event gathers the best linemen from around the globe to compete in challenges based on traditional linemen tasks.

Participants included utilities competing in four journeyman team events—comprising three linemen and a coach—and individually in four apprentice events.

This year, Cobb EMC’s journeyman team faced off against 227 other teams, and our three apprentices competed against 380 other apprentice linemen. Leading up to the rodeo, our linemen practiced for two known events, discovering the mystery events only the day before the competition.

We are proud to share that Cobb EMC linemen placed in the top 25 to receive the following awards, plus many more not listed here:
