Tim Harshbarger Joins Cobb EMC VP Human Resources

Cobb EMC today announced that Tim Harshbarger will join the Marietta, Ga.-based electric cooperative as Vice President of Human Resources, effective April 29.

"Tim will be a fantastic addition to our team, and we’re eager to have him on board,” said Peter Heintzelman, President and CEO of Cobb EMC. “Tim’s 25 years of operations and talent management experience, coupled with his collaborative leadership approach and focus on culture, will be an asset to our employees and will further our commitment to be an employer of choice in the metro Atlanta market."

Harshbarger replaces Ron Younker, who will retire during the summer. "I want to thank Ron for his huge impact on our leadership culture initiatives and for ensuring a smooth transition for Tim,” said Heintzelman. “He continues to be a champion of greatness and a partner in helping us design our future.”

Most recently, Harshbarger served as Vice President of Operations for Focus 3 where he helped energy and manufacturing clients strengthen their cultures and improve their leadership development programs. He began his career with American Electric Power and has served in senior human resources roles at Huntington National Bank and Pike Electric Corporation. He holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University’s Fisher School of Business.

"I am pleased to be joining Cobb EMC and look forward to driving the development and execution of leadership and talent management programs based on earned trust to help the company and employees perform at their best,” said Harshbarger.
