Kristen Delaney joins Cobb EMC

Cobb EMC today announced that Kristen Delaney will join the Marietta, Ga.-based electric cooperative as Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications, effective May 20.

"Kristen combines creativity and data-driven business leadership and will be an excellent addition to our team,” said Peter Heintzelman, President and CEO of Cobb EMC. “Her leadership and experience will bring a fresh perspective and drive our communications to the next level.”

In her new role, Delaney will oversee marketing and communications to both residential and commercial audiences and will replace Kevan Espy, who now leads the cooperative’s electric operations division.  

With a proven record of growing Atlanta audiences through award-winning marketing programs, Delaney brings more than 15 years of creative and business experience to Cobb EMC. Previously, she served as Director of Marketing & Communications for Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions at Georgia State University and in leadership positions for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the High Museum of Art and the Fox Theatre, as well as managing marketing and product Planning for American Honda Motor Co.’s Power Equipment Division.

Delaney holds a BA from Binghamton University and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University (GSU). She currently serves on the executive committee for GSU’s Women’s Philanthropic Network and as a mentor at GSU, through both the Women Lead program and the Honors College.
