Cobb EMC announces no rate increase for 2025

Cobb EMC announced that there will not be a rate change in 2025 for members of the electric cooperative. Cobb EMC is ranked #1 in Georgia for having the lowest electric rates in the state among all reporting electric utilities in back-to-back years (2023 and 2024) according to the Georgia Public Service Commission.
 
The Georgia PSC Summer 2023 and Summer 2024 Residential Rate Surveys showed Cobb EMC members’ monthly bills are averaging approximately $98.00, which is $42.66 lower than the average of all electric utilities for 1,000 kWh consumption ($140.66).
 
The Georgia PSC Rate Survey ranks electric providers on rates, based on total electric bill amounts of 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 kWh.
