Am I eligible to attend the Annual Meeting?
If you receive electric service from Cobb EMC, you are a member and are eligible to attend the meeting. Simply bring photo ID to verify that you live at the address listed on your Cobb EMC bill.
Commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration. Representatives will need to present a photo ID and work ID/business card.
Cobb EMC isn't my power company. Can I still attend?
No. You must be a current Cobb EMC member to attend the Annual Meeting.
I recently moved to a home served by Cobb EMC. My electricity bill is in my name, but I haven't updated my ID with my new address yet. Can I still attend the Annual Meeting?
Yes. At registration, we may direct you to a resolutions table to verify more information. We recommend you bring a copy of your bill with your name and service address listed. This will help speed up your registration.
Please note: Only members who were connected by July 17, 2020 may vote at the Annual Meeting.
Do I need to pre-register or RSVP to attend?
There is no need to pre-register or RSVP. Simply bring your photo ID and register in person at Jim R. Miller Park on September 14. Registration is open from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Please allow time for traffic and parking.

If the bill is in my spouse's name, do they need to come so I can register?
Any adult (18 years and older) living in the household can register. Please bring a photo ID to verify that the adult lives in a home served by Cobb EMC.
I can’t attend the Annual Meeting. Can I still get free fair tickets after the event?
You must be present and register at the Annual Meeting to receive up to four free fair tickets. No tickets will be mailed or distributed after the meeting.
I may not be able to stay for the entire meeting. Can I still get tickets?
We encourage everyone to stay for the 9:30 a.m. meeting to learn more about our progress, win prizes, hear from and meet your board of directors and vote. But we understand that everyone has other commitments. Fair tickets are provided at registration, which begins at 8 a.m. You must stay until the end of the meeting to win raffle and door prizes.
Can you pick up additional fair tickets for a friend or family member?
No. Only one member per household may register for the meeting. Each registered member receives up to four free fair tickets – that’s up to four tickets per household.Tickets must be picked up in person by an adult at least 18 years old who is living at the service address listed on your Cobb EMC bill. You will be asked to present photo ID at registration to verify your address.
When are door prizes awarded?
Door prizes will be raffled at the end of the business meeting. You must be present to win a door prize.
How old do you need to be to win door prizes?
Members must be 18 years old and living at an address served by Cobb EMC to register to attend the Annual Meeting and to win prizes.
Is it okay to bring children?
Please do! We have a children’s area with activities including inflatables, touch-a-truck and power line safety demonstrations.
Where can I park and how much does parking cost?
Parking is free, and there will be people directing you to parking lots as you approach the fairgrounds. See a parking map.
What do I need to bring to the Annual Meeting?
Bring a photo ID for registration. We’ll verify you are a Cobb EMC member, and you will receive up to four fair tickets. Please don’t bring large bags to the Annual Meeting. The safety and security of all attendees is our top priority. All attendees entering the premises for the event may be subject to bag checks.
What is a good time to come if I don't want to wait in line?
It’s hard to predict wait times. We will have several employees working to get you through registration – and other areas – as quickly as possible. Registration is open from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Please allow time for traffic and parking.
How long does the meeting last?
The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and typically ends around 11:30 a.m., depending on how many members wish to make comments during the meeting.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes, while supplies last.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Though the Annual Meeting is a family event, for safety reasons, please leave furry family members at home.
Will there be event security?
Yes. The safety and security of all attendees is our top priority. All attendees entering the premises for the event may be subject to bag checks.
Will the Annual Meeting still take place if it's raining?
Our Annual Meeting will take place rain or shine! Unless storms pose a danger, we will be ready to enjoy the day with all our members and make a difference for our cooperative.
