Valentine red wagon donation

Cobb EMC employees celebrated Valentine’s Day by delivering 30 bright red wagons to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. The wagons, which are equipped with IV poles, are used in lieu of wheelchairs to transport children who are hospitalized or undergoing chemotherapy or other treatments.

“These children are focused on getting better,” said Leslie Thompson, Director of Member and Public Relations. “We’re proud to play a small part in helping bring them wagon rides and smiles while they do just that.”

The wagons were built by Cobb EMC employees as a teambuilding and community giving project and were customized using Chad’s Bracket, a device that attaches IV poles to children’s wagons.

Employees also delivered 400 valentines for children who will be spending the holiday in the hospital.
