Welcome to Cobb EMC. To establish electric service*, please choose from one of the following options. Then learn more about being a cooperative member and all of the benefits it brings.

*Service requests are scheduled Monday through Friday only.

Start Service by Phone

Call member care at 770-429-2100, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

  • You must call at least one (1) business day prior to your anticipated connect date. An additional $20 connect fee will be applied for same day service requests.
  • A $30 service establishment fee will be applied to your first bill.
  • You may be asked to pay a deposit based on your credit check. Deposit can be paid with cash, check or money order.

Start Service in Person

Visit our office at 1000 EMC Parkway, Marietta, GA. Walk-in office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Bring in your lease or purchase agreement, along with a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) and social security card.
  • A $30 service establishment fee will be applied to your first bill.
  • You may be asked to pay a deposit based on your credit check. Deposit can be paid with cash, check or money order.

Please allow two business days for your application to be processed. You will be contacted by a member care representative if additional information is needed. You will receive a confirmation email once your service request has been completed.

Credit Check Authorization

​​​​​I authorize Cobb EMC to perform a credit check to determine if a deposit is required to start service. Within two business days of my activation request, Cobb EMC will send me an email with my account number and any fees that will be required before my electric service is connected. 


Service Establishment Fee

​​​​​I understand that Cobb EMC's service establishment fee is $30.00 and will be included on my first bill. I understand that Cobb EMC will notify me if I am required to pay a deposit, show ID, and/or verify proof of ownership in person prior to establishing service.
