Save on a Smart Thermostat

Smart thermostat

Cobb EMC members can save $25 on smart thermostat installation. Simply choose a participating contractor from the list below to install your thermostat.

A smart thermostat automatically adjusts to energy-saving temperatures to help you save money on your heating and cooling bills. Many are also controlled from your smartphone so you can adjust the temperature while on the go.

One of the best ways to beat the peak when Cobb EMC calls for peak conservation hours is to use a smart thermostat in your home to control and lower your electric use.

What kind of thermostat is in your home?

Non-programmable thermostat: A thermostat that lets you adjust the temperature in your home. It's a control panel for your heating and air conditioning system.

Programmable thermostat: A thermostat that lets you set the temperature to change based on the time of day.

Smart thermostat: A thermostat that learns from your behavior, allows you to control the climate in your home remotely, shows your energy consumption in real-time, and can even adjust itself based on ambient conditions, like humidity.

What types of smart thermostats are available?

There are two types of smart thermostats. The type that learns automatically from your behavior and adjusts the temperature accordingly, and the type that offers internet connectivity for remote management and programming.
