Cobb EMC honors law enforcement

Cobb EMC’s 11th annual Steak Out appreciation lunch honored law enforcement from across the electric cooperative’s five-county service district.

More than 250 law enforcement officers and area elected officials attended the event, which was held at Piedmont Community Church. Guests enjoyed a steak lunch catered by LongHorn®Steakhouse Acworth, along with live music and door prizes.

“Each year, we look forward to recognizing and honoring the service of the law enforcement officers who have dedicated their lives to making our communities wonderful, safe places to live and work,” said Chip Nelson, President and CEO of Cobb EMC.

Cobb EMC has a long-standing tradition of supporting local law enforcement and public safety personnel. In October, the company will sponsor the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce’s Public Safety Appreciation Breakfast.
