Cobb EMC crews assist restoration efforts in Kentucky

Cobb EMC sent crews to assist Big Sandy RECC. The co-op is experiencing widespread outages caused by a major winter storm. Our 14 employees traveled to Kentucky on Tuesday to help restore power to the thousands of Big Sandy RECC's members in the dark. Take a look at conditions linemen are facing in this video from Mountain Top News.

Please keep our linemen, safety teams and mechanics in your thoughts as they work through the harsh conditions during their restoration efforts.

Because we're a cooperative, Cobb EMC often provides mutual-aid to utilities in need of help during large outage situations. Cooperation among Cooperatives is one of the core values we operate by.
