Celebrate 811 day with Cobb EMC

Whether you’re planning a landscaping or home improvement project, remember to protect yourself and others before you dig. August 11, also known as National 811 Day, serves as a reminder to contact Georgia 811 at least two business days before digging.
Utility lines, including gas and electric, are often placed underground. Calling 811 before you dig protects you from coming into contact with buried utilities. Rupturing a gas line could result in an explosion or fire and striking underground power lines could cause electric shock or death.
Help us celebrate National 811 Day by educating your friends and family about Georgia 811. Access Georgia 811 by dialing 811 on any phone or by dialing 1-800-282-7411. The call is free and it’ll help prevent injury, property damage, utility outages and potential fines.
